Board Members

Dr. Blake Puckett, President

Blake Puckett serves as a member of the senior executive service for the Department of Defense with a focus on national security and foreign policy analysis. He graduated from the United States Military Academy, holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.S. in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy from the Joint Forces Staff College, and a Ph.D. from Indiana University. His academic interests include national security affairs, Russia and Eurasia regional issues, rule of law and corruption issues, and the role of ethics in international affairs. Blake’s calling has straddled the line between academia and on-the-ground presence and he hopes to help others faithfully link education and vocation through the work of Cambridge House, where he currently serves as President of the Board. Blake enjoys jogging through Colonial Williamsburg, hiking in the mountains, or a good round of Axis and Allies. Blake and Paula have three young adult children and are proud “humans” for two African Basenjis, Kafi and Mocha.


Paula Jeffrey Puckett, Secretary

Paula Puckett serves with InterVarsity Graduate and Faculty Ministries at William & Mary, her alma mater. She also holds an MA in Leadership from All Nations Christian College north of London. Paula is passionate about prayer, spiritual formation and helping scholars both young and old to flourish. Having worked in England alongside many men and women from the L’Abri tradition, Paula is particularly excited about the impact Cambridge House will have on generations of faculty and students. She is always happy to talk about tennis and her many trips to Wimbledon. She and her husband, Blake, have three young adult children and two dogs who always enjoy a long walk.


Clif Brigham, Treasurer

Clif Brigham is an accountant and the President of a local CPA practice. He and his wife, Karen, are both graduates of William & Mary, and Clif holds a master’s degree in taxation from the college. They have two adult children, one of whom is also a graduate of William & Mary. Clif and Karen have ministered to international students at the college for over forty years and have a deep and abiding love and burden for students. He is active in his local church and has served on various church and charitable boards over the years. Clif is a Gideon and participates in regular Bible distributions. He is excited about the opportunity to serve Cambridge House, and he looks forward to being part of helping to equip students with the knowledge and tools needed to address the current culture with Bible-based answers to the challenges and brokenness of the world in which we live.


Rev. Dr. Travis Simone

Travis serves as the lead pastor at the Williamsburg Community Chapel. He is a proud graduate of William & Mary where he received his B.A. in Religion. He attended seminary at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. He earned his doctorate from Duke Divinity School where his research focused on successful leadership transitions. Travis enjoys helping a variety of organizations increase their missional effectiveness through improved organizational health. At the Chapel, Travis serves alongside a talented staff and team of pastors. He is grateful for the opportunity to steward a strong culture of getting people into God’s Word, meeting people wherever they are, making community our middle name, and joining in one common disciple-making effort. Travis grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he met his wife, Nina, in kindergarten. They have four daughters: Sophia, Olivia, Leila, and Ruthie. In his spare time, Travis listens to baseball on the radio, rides his bike, paddle boards, and cheers for the William & Mary Tribe. He is on a permanent quest for the perfect Italian sandwich.


Vance Stallings

Vance is an attorney with over 32 years of experience advising individuals, businesses, and nonprofits across Virginia, with a background spanning estate planning, real estate, commercial law, and criminal defense. He has served as a Special Prosecutor for the Virginia Attorney General’s Office and has been repeatedly recognized by his peers, including as a “Top Lawyer” in Coastal Virginia Business Magazine and in Virginia Business Magazine’s “Virginia Legal Elite.”

Committed to community service, Vance has served on numerous nonprofit and faith-based boards. A professionally trained vocalist, he is the former President of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra’s Board of Trustees and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Heart for Orphans.

Vance and his wife, Susan, live in Williamsburg and have three daughters—two attending the University of Virginia and one at Purdue University.


Dr. Angela Bartee, CFRE 

Angela Bartee has been an educator and development professional, spanning the areas of K-12 public education, homeschooling and higher education for more than 25 years. She graduated from the George Washington University with a BA in International Affairs and an MA in International Education. She received her doctoral degree from William & Mary in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership, where her dissertation explored factors that impact sense of belonging for first-generation college students. After homeschooling her children, Angela has served in advancement roles for the past decade and currently serves as the Director of Development and Engagement for a statewide nonprofit organization, the Home Educators Association of Virginia. She maintains the CFRE licensure as a Certified Fundraising Executive and enjoys helping nonprofits and corporate philanthropy divisions to enhance fundraising successes. Angela is passionate about students persevering in and discovering faith during the college years and is excited to serve on the Cambridge House Board. She has been married to Mr. Tiffany Bartee for more than 30 years, has four adult children and a dog named Penny! In her free time, Angela loves gardening, speaking Spanish, worship music, and serving in global missions.


Dr. Larry Leemis

Dr. Larry Leemis has been a professor in the Mathematics Department at William & Mary since 1993.  He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mathematics and his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.  His research and teaching interests are in reliability and simulation.  His professional passion is to make make the probability of catastophic events as small as possible.  He met his wife Jill at a college and career fellowship group at Purdue, and they are proud parents of two adult children, Lindsey and Mark.  An escape from stochastic modeling usually comes in the form of bumper pool with his son-in-law Brandon or recumbent bicycle riding.


Terry Lowe, Secretary

Terry graduated with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Safety Management from the University of Southern California.  He retired as a Colonel from the Air Force, worked in safety leadership for three airlines, and moved to Williamsburg in 2010.  Terry taught graduate and undergraduate courses for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, leads an adult Bible study class and two small groups, and enjoys volunteering in the Chapel's Agape Ministry.  In his spare time, he assembles jigsaw puzzles and works in the yard.  He and his wife Georgia enjoy traveling internationally, as well as visiting their son and two granddaughters in Blacksburg.
