Dante Alighieri’s most famous work, The Divine Comedy, comprises three books: The Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. In it, he describes his journey from Hell to Heaven, and in the process plumbs spiritual depths, explores eternal questions, and paints a picture of the universe that has enraptured readers for centuries. One of the most profound works of Western thought and spirituality ever written.
