Fireside Chat With Rev. Dr. Jody Fleming

  • Cambridge House Christian Study Center 930 Jamestown Rd Williamsburg United States (map)

Join us on Friday, March 27th from 4 to 5 PM for another installment of Cambridge House’s Fireside Chat series, as host Rev. Dr. Jody Fleming leads his discussion entitled “Spirits, Spirituality, and the Majority World: The "Day of the Dead" to a Global Explosion in The Supernatural Church of the 21st Century.

While the Western church has often sidelined the Holy Spirit as an uncomfortable or vague concept, the Majority World has turned a 1906 revival into the fastest-growing movement in history. While cultural traditions like the 'Day of the Dead' have long histories in their contexts, the 'Spirit-filled' fire of the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement has crossed denominational and cultural lines to prove that for billions, the Trinitairan God is a lived, daily power rather than a distant doctrine.

Rev. Dr. Jody Fleming is an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church and is based in Williamsburg, VA. She is a seasoned practitioner in chaplaincy and pastoral leadership and currently serves as Affiliate Faculty with Kairos University. She holds a Ph.D. in Global Christianity and Mission and is the author of Wesleyan Pneumatology, Pentecostal Mission and the Missio Dei.
