Fireside Chat With Dr. Jody Fleming, MDiv., PhD

  • Cambridge House Christian Study Center 930 Jamestown Rd Williamsburg United States (map)

Join us on Friday, October 30th from 4 to 5 PM for another installment of Cambridge House’s Fireside Chat series, as host Dr. Jody Fleming leads her discussion entitled “Spirits and The Supernatural Church of the 21st Century: The Day of the Dead, Spirituality, and the Majority World”.

One of the fastest growing Christian traditions is the Pentecostal/charismatic movement, which has seen explosive growth in the majority world including Africa, Asia and South America. The reason for this is in part due to the deeper connection these places have with spiritual realities of their culture. Western Europe, the United States and Canada often focus on the separation of physical and spiritual realms, which is very different from the areas mentioned above. We will explore how the Pentecostal and charismatic streams of Christianity are well suited to address the reality of the spiritual realm that is so prevalent in the majority world.
