Join us on Friday, April 17th from 4 to 5 PM for another installment of Cambridge House’s Fireside Chat series, as host Abigail Cagle leads her discussion entitled “Subcreation in an Enchanted World: J. R. R. Tolkien’s ‘Mythopoeia’”.
Tolkien’s poem “Mythopoeia” explores the idea of “subcreation”, or creating in the manner in which we were created. Join in a discussion of how subcreation redefines the meaning of an “enchanted world”, frames what living in an enchanted world looks like, and opens possibilities for what it means to be human.
